The Company

PrintingForLess.com, Inc., founded by Andrew Field (right), is the pioneer and hands-down leader in commercial printing via the Internet, a lucrative niche in the $120 billion a year printing industry. Recognized by top industry analysts as one of the fastest growing private companies in America every year since 1999, PFL has average annual sales growth of nearly 40% with current annual sales exceeding $20 million. Constant innovation has helped the company transform from a brick and mortar business with five employees in 1996 to a dot.com company in 1999 to a trend-setting e-commerce printing sensation with more than 125 employees today. The company expects to add another 25 people this year and is building a new 45,000 square foot facility to accommodate this growth. PFL was acknowledged as a finalist by the American Business Awards for the Most Innovative Company and has been featured for its head-turning accomplishments and progressive business culture in such national publications as Forbes, People and Inc. We are also proud to be named a "Best Boss."

Company Culture

Why is PrintingForLess.com one of the fastest growing private companies in the nation? The secret is our people. Our workplace is filled with intelligent, fun-loving, self-motivated, humorous, conscientious, forward-thinking individuals. We value those qualities and deliberately create a culture that nurtures them in our people and work environment.

How do we do that? Every way we can. We hire only the cream of the crop, compensate them well and invest in extensive training so they can succeed in a constantly changing, high-tech, e-commerce climate. We empower our people with the best possible tools and information to help them do their jobs. We encourage them to have fun at work and get to know their colleagues in all areas of the company - even if it gets a little uproarious at times. We assign them to small team settings, where each team has its own decision-making power. We communicate goals and responsibilities clearly, and provide continual feedback and coaching. We provide our people with constant opportunity for the challenges and rewards of career progression and personal growth.

As a company, we explore and often embrace the road less traveled. We recently became the first company in Montana to adopt a Health Savings Account for our employees, a new type of program that gives our employees more control over their health insurance decisions and lets them keep (as tax-deferred savings) any unspent money in their fund, rather than paying it in premiums to some big insurance company. We were also the first in Montana to establish a state-certified daycare center for employees' children. And we have adopted such progressive policies as allowing dogs in the workplace.

As a result, the PFL team performs at a high level, and is receiving national recognition for revolutionizing a large American industry. We have a low turnover rate and strong loyalty. In short, at PrintingForLess.com you'll find happy and engaged people who have created a fast-paced yet down-to-earth culture in the recreational paradise of Southwest Montana. If that sounds like something you're looking for, we're looking for you!

PFL Myths and Realities

We sometimes hear misconceptions about PFL that we would like to dispel:
Myth: PFL is just a printing company with a website. (Read: PFL doesn't appeal to career-minded people seeking
high-level employment in a cutting-edge company.)

Reality: PrintingForLess is a dynamic, innovative company that attracts,
challenges and satisfies top-of-the class graduates like Daniel Gaugler
(hear his story). If you are an exceptional candidate, send your resume and find yourself among excellent company.
Myth: If I work at PFL, I’ll have to live in the Boondocks.

Reality: While the area is best known for its natural beauty and
unspoiled wilderness, there are ample cultural and social opportunities.
Besides some of the world's finest trout streams, abundant wildlife and unparalleled skiing (think Jackson Hole without the lift lines), the area also offers nearby Yellowstone Park, Montana State University, stage and movie theaters, museums, hot spring resorts, body spas, golf courses, restaurants, night clubs, health food stores, coffee shops, and plenty of big-box stores like Costco, Wal-Mart and Home Depot. The
exciting mix of mountains and mind may be why so many celebrities — Dennis
Quaid, Tom Brokaw, Ted Turner and Glenn Close to name a few — have bought
homes here and spend so much time in the area. |
